We received word that we are about two weeks away from entering MOI!  This is the last step before passport!  The tricky part is the range for MOI is anywhere from 3 weeks to 6 months!  That is a wide range! Praying for the 3 week side for sure!  We are definitely feeling the pinch to get everything done and ready.  The room switch will happen as soon as we get time when school lets out.  We are feeling so thankful to the Lord for progress in this process.  Thank you Lord!

We are asking for prayers that we move through MOI quickly and that we have NO RFE’s in the passport/USCIS stage.  A RFE is a “request for evidence” which then takes more time as it means something else is required from the Haitian government, which can mean a letter or some signature.  If there are no RFE’s one’s case moves through the US side of things much quicker.  So  please pray for NO RFE‘s.

My prayers for ours sons have now become heart groans.  Cries to our Father to restore and redeem them to their new family.  I have been reading a book called the Jesus Creed by Scott McNight, the basic idea being that we are called to :  Love God, Love others as our self.  One quote in this book that hit me is this one:  “For Jesus, justice is about restoring people and society to the love of God and love of others.”  Adoption is the way He has called our family to help these sons come to know the love of God and the love of family.  What a privilege we have been given.

Our most important prrayer request is that God will be glorified in all of this.  May His name be praised and lifted high!

Blessings and so much Gratitude to each of you,

Michelle and family

  1. Praying for you all, Michelle! You can see the light at the end of the tunnel now!
We are still waiting to exit IBESR post-bonding trip. It’s only been about 6 weeks since our bonding trip, so we are not expecting anything anytime soon.
Blessings as you continue nesting and bonding from a distance!
